FreeStyle Football 2 is a premium 5v5 arcade football game from WOORE and JOYCITY, aimed at PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox PC, and Steam. Each Agent controls one unique character, not an entire eleven, and both goals are guarded by AI keepers. This hub is the roster map: who exists in public tests, which position they play, and how you actually get them onto the pitch. The retail game is still upcoming. Prime Open Beta Test runs 4–8 September 2026, and Xbox Game Pass is planned for Day One at launch.
Jump to forwards, midfielders, or defenders if you already know your lane. Prime OBT newcomers have their own notes: Lena Wolf and QRI. Positions on a five-a-side pitch
The public roster uses three field roles: FW, MF, and DF. There is no human goalkeeper. That means a defender is not a spare keeper; they are a field player whose job is to steal, delay, and start the next attack. A forward is not a whole strike partnership; they are the Agent who must finish in a tight box while four teammates occupy the rest of the pitch. Midfielders stitch those jobs together with passing, carries, and the first tackle after a turnover.
Because matches are 5v5, every pick is a formation decision. Two forwards and no real defender will look exciting in the first minute and fragile in the third. Two defenders and a timid forward will keep a clean sheet and lose 0–1. The controls guide and maps pages explain how those roles feel on different pitches. The CBT 7
Closed Beta Test 7 showed seven named field characters. Positions below follow official intros, not fan guesses.
- Sanchez (MF, Mexico) — attacking midfielder with rainbow-style flair. Creative first, not a hiding holding six.
- Jelly — quirky personality; in the Korean build she is voiced by Kim Ye-rim. Public clips lean playful rather than stoic.
- Butter (FW) — hot-dog, target-man energy. Ground pass Quick Delivery Service boosts the receiver’s shot. Full Load Drift lets him shield and knock markers.
- Mukamba (DF) — returning face from the original FreeStyle Football. Stamina restore plus a team defense buff, and Lion’s Strike, a mid-range power shot with a long wind-up.
- Tarantula (DF) — reverse feint specialist built to shake a marker in a 1v1.
- Queen Swift (FW) — agile finisher with blink/flash movement and a super-jump header.
- Chris (MF) — the other named midfielder from CBT 7; public notes frame him as a more conventional engine than Sanchez.
Do not treat those seven as the launch roster. The studio has talked about twelve unique characters at launch, each with unique skills. Extra names that have not been shown should not be invented here.
Later reveals
After CBT 7, QRI (also written Curie) joined the publicity cycle. She is based on Korea street dancer Kwon Gyuri, with a rhythm and flexibility identity rather than a published stat sheet — full note on the QRI page. Lena Wolf is the named Prime OBT newcomer: German motorcycle racer, high-speed intercept identity, official intro in late August 2026. Details live on Lena. Confirm in-game tags in the lobby; this hub will not invent a full move list from a trailer.

Skills, stats, and the draft
Every character is more than a position tag. Public tests describe a Clutch passive, Key Moves, and two Freestyle ultimates with long cooldowns. You will not spam an ultimate every thirty seconds; you will save it for a real chance. Visible stats include defense, speed, passing, strength, dribbling, and shooting. Mentality, Physicality, and Technical customization has been promised at launch and was not fully present in CBT.
You pick after the queue, not before. Order runs from the top of the list, and a team cannot duplicate a character. In the demo, six starters were available immediately and two more unlocked with Riyal through the Lounge Favor Gauge and contracts. Those extra slots reset after matches, so a demo unlock was a session tool, not a permanent collection.
Original FreeStyle Football veterans worry about power creep — a later character making an early one feel pointless. That fear is fair, and it is why this hub stays descriptive. The tier list is labeled closed-beta / demo on purpose.
How to use the roster pages
Read forwards if you want Queen Swift’s blink game or Butter’s delivery kit. Read midfielders for Sanchez, Chris, and Jelly. Read defenders for Mukamba’s team-fight kit and Tarantula’s 1v1 feint. Then look at story mode if you care about character flavor, and at editions or system requirements if you are still choosing a platform.

Prime OBT is a short window, not a second closed beta you can ignore. Twelve launch characters will shuffle the “best pick” conversation overnight. Use this page as a directory, not as a promise that Sanchez or Queen Swift will still be the first name on every draft board. How many characters will launch with?

Who are QRI and Lena?
QRI (Curie) is Korea street dancer Kwon Gyuri, built around rhythm and flexibility. Lena is a new Prime OBT character (public teases used L*N* / 레나). Positions and skill numbers are not invented here.
Is the roster a free-to-play gacha?
