FreeStyle Football 2 Tier List Hub

Closed-beta and demo impressions — not a launch ranking, and not a winrate table.

Tier List Hub

This is a closed-beta / demo meta page. It is not a launch gospel, not a betting sheet, and not a promise that Queen Swift will still be the first name on the board in October. FreeStyle Football 2 is an upcoming premium 5v5 arcade football game from WOORE and JOYCITY (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox PC, Steam, Game Pass Day One at launch). Prime Open Beta Test runs 4–8 September 2026. Public tests showed seven named field characters, later reveals added QRI and Lena, and launch is still aiming at twelve unique characters. Twelve names will shuffle this list. Read it that way or do not read it.

We do not invent exact winrates. Sample size from CBT and the demo is small, patches can gut a cooldown, and a rank that looks “S” in a disorganized lobby can look “B” in a five-stack that actually passes. For kits and identities, use the players hub, then the forwards, midfielders, and defenders pages. For match flow, use Getting Started and how to play.

How to read S, A, and B

Ranks below are suggested from public hands-on chatter — official intros, tester streams, and the way lobbies fought over names — not from a hidden spreadsheet.

  • S — people keep picking this when they can, and the kit still works if teammates are average.
  • A — strong when the job is understood; easy to waste if you play it like a different position.
  • B — real, useful, and easy to underrate or overrate depending on the lobby. Incomplete data, not “bad.”

Unlisted later reveals are not secret F-tier. They are unranked because the public kit is incomplete. QRI (Kwon Gyuri, rhythm/flexibility) and Lena (Prime OBT teaser, LN / 레나) stay off the letters until there is more than a trailer.

If a YouTube thumbnail says “broken,” check whether the clip is one Freestyle ultimate with a long cooldown. Clutch passives, Key Moves, and two Freestyle ultimates are the real kit. Cooldowns are long on purpose. A once-a-half punch does not make a character S if the other thirty touches are empty.

Suggested closed-beta / demo ranks

S — Queen Swift (FW)

Queen Swift is the popular agile forward in public hands-on. Blink/flash movement plus a super-jump header is easy to understand on a small pitch: arrive late, finish first. Testers who like highlight football gravitate here, which is both a strength and a warning. She is S in the sense that she is in demand and her tools are obvious. She is not S in the sense that a team of Queen Swift clones is legal (it is not — no duplicate picks) or that she defends for you. If your draft already skipped a defender, her popularity will not cover the far post she just vacated.

A — Butter (FW), Mukamba (DF), Sanchez (MF)

Butter is unique utility, not a worse Queen Swift. Quick Delivery Service boosts the receiver’s shot. Full Load Drift shields and knocks. He climbs this list when someone else can finish, and he falls off it when he is asked to be the only scorer. That is an A kit with an S ceiling in a passing lobby and a B floor in a greedy one.

Mukamba is the team-fight defender. Stamina restore, a team defense buff, and Lion’s Strike (mid-range power shot, long wind-up) make him the DF people who actually like defending talk about. Original FreeStyle Football made DF feel thankless. Public FSF2 notes keep putting the spotlight on key defensive plays; Mukamba is the character who benefits. He is A because he makes four other Agents better, which Teamwork Rank is supposed to notice.

Sanchez is the creative midfielder: Mexico, attacking mid, rainbow-style flair. Lobbies like him for the same reason they like Queen Swift — the clips are fun. He sits in A because a creative MF without cover is a turnover machine, and because Chris exists as the less glamorous engine. Pick Sanchez when someone else already looks like a real DF or a disciplined MF. Do not pick him as your only adult.

B — Tarantula (DF), Chris (MF), Jelly (MF)

Tarantula is a 1v1 DF with a reverse feint to shake markers. That is a real job. It is B on this snapshot because public chatter talks about him less than Mukamba’s team buffs, and because a reverse feint needs a midfielder to pass to after you win the duel. In a coordinated five, Tarantula can play above this letter. In a pug, he can disappear.

Chris is the other CBT 7 midfielder. Public clips treat him as box-to-box, more tackle than rainbow. Incomplete data. He is B because testers talk about him less, not because he is proven weak. If Prime OBT is full of greedy forwards, Chris may be the actual best pick in the lobby while this page still has him in B. That is the point of the disclaimer.

Jelly is quirky (Kim Ye-rim in the Korean voice cast) with arcade passing that some testers love and some call too gamey. B for the same honesty: unique, polarizing, not enough public reps to pretend we know her ceiling. If your teammates cannot read a bounce-style pass, she is a liability. If they can, she is a problem for the other DF.

What this list is not measuring

It is not measuring launch. Mentality, Physicality, and Technical customization is promised at launch and was not fully in CBT, so every letter here is a snapshot of a less customizable build.

It is not measuring collection. Demo access was six starters plus two unlocks with Riyal via the Lounge Favor Gauge and contracts, and those slots reset after matches. A character you unlocked for one session is not a “main.”

It is not measuring a 1v1. Picks happen after the queue, from the top of the list, with no duplicates on a team. The correct question is “who is left that still covers FW / MF / DF,” not “who is S.” A team that takes Queen Swift, Sanchez, and no DF is not running an S-tier draft. It is running a 5v4 in the third minute.

It is not measuring keepers. Keepers are AI. Rank the field.

Teamwork beats a lonely S pick

Teamwork Rank is the anti-power-creep lever the studio keeps pointing at: passing and defense should pay. Original FreeStyle Football veterans are right to fear a later character deleting an early one. They are wrong if they answer that fear by only queuing the flashiest FW. Use the guides hub, especially controls and maps, so the S pick you fought for can actually receive the ball.

A practical draft order for Prime OBT, if the list still looks like this:

  1. If nobody wants DF, take Mukamba or Tarantula and stop the bleed.
  2. If DF is covered and nobody wants to pass, take Chris or Butter.
  3. If the team already has a wall, take Queen Swift or Sanchez and finish.
  4. If Jelly is the last MF, take her only with voice comms.

That is not a hidden winrate. That is role coverage on a five-person pitch. Ranked and clubs will punish the same gaps harder than a casual demo playlist.

What will shuffle the letters

Watch three things on the updates hub, the demo recap, and the Prime OBT page:

  • New characters. Twelve at launch. QRI and Lena are already in the pipeline. One new DF with a better team buff than Mukamba would move every letter on this page.
  • Cooldown and Clutch changes. Freestyle ultimates are the trailer moments. If a patch shortens Queen Swift’s movement skill, S becomes A overnight.
  • Teamwork Rank tuning. If defense stops paying, DF falls and everyone queues FW again. If it pays more, Mukamba and Tarantula climb without any kit change.

Platform and SKU questions do not belong in a tier list. Use system requirements, editions, the tools hub, and the links hub. Story mode will not change who is S; it will only tell you why they wear that outfit.

Treat ranks as a snapshot, not a contract

Print this page in your head, then throw it out when Prime OBT patch notes land. The useful habit is not “always Queen Swift.” The useful habit is reading the draft bar, covering FW / MF / DF, and refusing to believe a YouTube letter grade that cannot show a sample size. Come back through the players hub after the twelve-character list is public, compare the new kits to Butter’s delivery and Mukamba’s buff, and only then ask whether this S/A/B still deserves the bandwidth. Until that day, it is a closed-beta postcard — worth reading, not worth arguing like a final exam.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Agents heading into Prime OBT and launch.

Is this the launch tier list?

No. It is closed-beta / demo meta only. Launch is targeting twelve unique characters, and Prime OBT (4–8 September 2026) will shuffle ranks. See Prime OBT.

Do you have winrates?

No. This wiki does not invent percentages. Ranks are suggested from public hands-on chatter and kit identities on the players hub.

Why is Queen Swift in S?

She is the popular agile FW in tester clips: blink/flash movement and a super-jump header. Popular is not the same as unbeatable. Read forwards.

Why aren’t QRI and Lena ranked?

Incomplete public kits. QRI is Kwon Gyuri (rhythm/flexibility). Lena is a Prime OBT character (L*N* / 레나). Unranked means unknown, not weak.

Should I always first-pick the S character?

No. Picks happen after the queue, from the top of the list, with no duplicates. Cover DF / MF / FW first. A lonely S pick without a defender is a bad draft.

Will later characters power-creep this list?

That is the fear from original FreeStyle Football. Possible, not assumed. Track kit changes on the updates hub and compare roles on midfielders and defenders.
