FreeStyle Football 2 will launch as a premium paid title, not a free-to-play client with a battle pass instead of a box price. JOYCITY and WOORE announced four named editions — Basic, Premium, Deluxe, and Limited Club Edition — plus Season Passes, downloadable content, and Xbox Game Pass Day One. This page records that plan. It does not invent dollar prices, fake bundle contents, or a street date, because those details were not fully public at the time of writing.

Premium, not free-to-play
The official FAQ is blunt: FreeStyle Football 2 launches as a one-time purchase so the online 5v5 can stay content-rich without selling competitive stats. Cosmetics, Season Passes, and DLC sit on top of that purchase. During closed tests and special events, selected Agents play for free; that courtesy ends when the paid product exists.
That model matters for anyone coming from older FreeStyle free-to-play games. You should not expect a gacha stat shop. You should expect a console-style catalog: a base game, nicer editions, a pass, and later drops. National uniforms, clothing-store outfits, Kickoff gloves, and Riyal from wishlists are cosmetic or currency layers, not pay-to-win ratings.
Launch-target content still sits behind that paid door: 12 characters, Story Mode of 10–20 hours, clubs with a companion app, ranked divisions, and city pitches. Those systems are documented on story mode, ranked and clubs, maps, and the players hub. Editions change how you pay for the wrapper, not whether a forward can shoot.
The four named editions
Press materials list Basic, Premium, Deluxe, and Limited Club Edition. JOYCITY has not published a complete public grid of every item inside each SKU, and this wiki will not fabricate one. What we can say:
- Basic is the named standard product — the paid entry that Game Pass is compared against.
- Premium sits above Basic as a named step, not as a description of the whole business model (the whole game is already “premium” versus F2P).
- Deluxe is the usual mid-high bundle slot in a four-tier stack.
- Limited Club Edition is the collector-style name, and it is the one most likely to bundle club-facing extras once a store card exists.
Until Microsoft, PlayStation, and Steam post real edition cards, treat those four words as a ladder, not as a loot table. Wishlist the Steam page, the Xbox store page, and the PlayStation concept page so you see the first honest price at the same time as everyone else.
Season Passes and DLC are part of the announced live plan. A Premium Pass Ticket already appears on the official wishlist track (50,000 and 100,000 combined Steam/PlayStation/Xbox hits). That ticket is mailbox loot at official launch, not a reason to pay a guessed Deluxe price today.
Xbox Game Pass Day One
JOYCITY says FreeStyle Football 2 will be in the Xbox Game Pass Day One lineup. Subscribers can play on the first day of launch. The standard paid title arrives the same day. That is a launch fact, not a description of Prime OBT or the June demo.
Game Pass does not cancel the four editions. A Deluxe or Limited Club Edition can still exist for Agents who want extra cosmetics or club items while others subscribe. Xbox PC and Xbox Series share that Day One promise; Steam and PlayStation remain paid-store paths unless a later statement says otherwise.
If you already pay for Game Pass, wait for launch day rather than pre-ordering a Basic SKU you might not need. If you do not subscribe, wait for a real price. This page will not invent one to fill a table.
Tests, mailboxes, and what money does not buy yet
January CBT players were promised Kickoff Cleats and the Secret Kickoff icon. Demo players were promised Kickoff Football Gloves and Known Kickoff. Wishlist milestones use official-site spelling Riyal: football cosmetic at 3,000, 1,000 Riyal at 5,000, High Thumbs Up at 10,000, Yoga Pose at 20,000, Brave Costume Set plus 2,000 Riyal at 30,000, 2,000 Riyal plus a Premium Pass Ticket at 50,000, and another Premium Pass Ticket at 100,000. JOYCITY announced the 30,000 and 50,000 combined hits during 2026. All of that mail waits for official launch.
Spending during OBT, if any shop is even open, should be treated as test currency. Do not buy a fake “founders pack” from a third-party listing. Pre-register on the official site and keep Discord as the rumor filter. More URLs sit on the links hub.
PC buyers still have to clear system requirements no matter which edition name they like: Windows 10 64-bit minimum, 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12, Easy Anti-Cheat, 60 GB. Edition art will not raise a 1650 to recommended.
Plan around four named editions, Season Passes, DLC, and Game Pass Day One. Skip guessed dollar amounts until a store posts them. Then spend your attention on how to play, getting started, forwards, midfielders, defenders, and the tier list — the pages that actually decide whether a 5v5 is fun after you have paid, subscribed, or waited for a test window.
