FreeStyle Football 2 Forwards

A forward in FreeStyle Football 2 is one Agent, not a two-striker partnership. Matches are 5v5 with AI keepers, so the FW’s job is to occupy the last line, finish the chances a midfielder creates, and still track back far enough that a counter does not become a 4v3. This page covers the public FW identities — mainly Queen Swift and Butter from CBT 7 — and how those kits feel before Prime OBT (4–8 September 2026). The retail game is still upcoming. What a forward actually does

On a five-a-side pitch the FW is the Agent who should be first to a cut-back, first to a lofted ball, and last to give up on a rebound off the AI keeper. You do not need to dribble through five people every attack. You need to be available when a midfielder looks up, and you need a finishing tool that still works when a defender is on your shoulder.

Public tests split forwards into two useful moods:

• Agile finishers who win with timing, blink/flash movement, and aerials.
• Target-man utility who hold the ball, bump a marker, and make the next Agent’s shot better.

Queen Swift is the first mood. Butter is the second. Neither one is a full team. If your draft already took Sanchez as a creative midfielder, Queen Swift’s runs make sense. If your draft already took Mukamba as a defender who can also shoot from range, Butter’s delivery kit can feed that shot instead of forcing Butter to be the only scorer.

Teamwork Rank in public builds rewards passing and defensive work, not just the final touch. A forward who never tracks and never lays the ball off will pad a highlight reel and still lose the rank that clubs will care about. Read ranked and clubs before you treat FW as a solo queue carry.

Queen Swift player introduction (FW)

Queen Swift

Queen Swift is the agile FW most hands-on clips keep coming back to. Official intros sell blink/flash movement and a super-jump header. The combination matters: she is not a target for slow, hanging crosses so much as a player who can arrive late, leave a marker facing the wrong way, and still win the ball above a taller defender.

Play her if you like:

• Arriving onto cut-backs rather than holding the ball with your back to goal.
• Using a movement skill to create a yard, then finishing first time.
• Heading as a real weapon, not a panic button.

Do not play her if you want to post up for twenty seconds and wait. That is Butter’s job. Queen Swift’s value collapses when the rest of the team never looks at the far post or never plays a ground ball across the box. She is popular in closed-beta chatter because she feels explosive, not because this wiki has a winrate table — we do not invent those numbers.

The official CBT preview used Bomber Queen as an example Freestyle Move name alongside Mukamba’s Lion’s Strike. Treat named ultimates as long-cooldown punches, not as a second basic shot. If you burn the Freestyle the first time you cross the halfway line, you will spend the rest of the half as a normal FW with no trump card.

Butter

Butter is the opposite silhouette: hot-dog energy, target-man body language, and a kit built around helping the next touch. Quick Delivery Service is a ground pass that boosts the receiver’s shot. That is not flavor text. It means Butter can be the best player on the pitch without scoring, as long as someone else is making the run. Full Load Drift lets him shield and knock, which is how you hold a defender while a midfielder arrives or while Queen Swift ghosts onto the far side.

Play Butter if you:

• Like being the wall that a teammate plays off.
• Can resist the urge to shoot every time you receive.
• Want a FW who still contributes when the AI keeper eats the first effort.

Skip Butter if your four teammates refuse to make a second run. Quick Delivery Service is wasted on an Agent standing still. Full Load Drift is wasted if you drift into nobody. Butter is unique utility, which is why the tier list talks about him as more than a backup striker — and why a selfish Butter is a worse pick than a selfish Queen Swift. An agile FW can still steal a goal. A delivery FW who never delivers is just a slow body in the box.

Drafting a forward after the queue

You pick after matchmaking. Order starts at the top of the list, and your team cannot take the same character twice. If Queen Swift is gone, Butter is not “the worse version of the same job.” He is a different job. If both FW names are gone, look at whether Sanchez can occupy the last line as a creative midfielder, or whether Mukamba’s Lion’s Strike is enough long-range threat while you take a defender and play for set-piece chaos.

Demo rules were stricter than a full collection: six starters, two more unlocked with Riyal through the Lounge Favor Gauge and contracts, and those extra slots reset after matches. Do not plan a launch mains list around a demo contract that disappeared at the result screen. Launch is still aiming at twelve unique characters. QRI (Kwon Gyuri, rhythm/flexibility) and Lena (Prime OBT teaser, LN / 레나) are later reveals; this page will not invent an FW label for them.

Customization of Mentality, Physicality, and Technical is promised at launch and was not fully in CBT. Visible stats in tests include defense, speed, passing, strength, dribbling, and shooting. A FW with poor passing still needs to lay the ball off cleanly because 5v5 punishes a dead end. Check the demo recap and Prime OBT notes before you assume a CBT stat spread survives.

Habits that win more than the name on the card

The guides hub is full of match-flow advice that matters more than swapping Queen Swift for Butter:

• Call for the ball with your position, not with panic sprinting into an offside pocket.
• Use Key Moves to create a yard; save Freestyle ultimates for a real sight of goal. Cooldowns are long on purpose.
• Track the first runner when possession flips. AI keepers do not cover the whole box for you.
• If you are Butter, look for Mukamba or a shooting midfielder before you force a tight-angle finish.
• If you are Queen Swift, attack the space behind Tarantula’s marker instead of dribbling into the reverse feint.

Story mode is where character flavor lives; it is not a substitute for learning the finishing timings in a real match. Platform questions belong on system requirements and editions. Official links sit on the links hub. Patch cadence lives on the updates hub.

Finish the chance you are given

Forwards in this game are not FIFA-style complete forwards who can also be the holding midfielder. They are specialists sharing a small pitch with four other specialists. Queen Swift wins the highlight. Butter wins the layoff that makes the highlight possible. The rest of the players hub exists so you do not draft two of the same specialist and call it a plan. Take the FW that matches the four names already on your bar, then go play the extra pass. Prime OBT will add bodies and shuffle the tier list; it will not add a second striker for you to control.
